Resort 2012 Trends

Happy New Year!

Did you make any beauty resolutions? Even though I tend to change my hair and styles up somewhat frequently due to the nature of my work, I think I’m going to be pushing my beauty routine this year to frequently try new makeup and hair looks. Want to give it a try with me? I’ll be posting my inspiration on pinterest and on the blog as I go. First up, Resort 2012 trends I’m finding intriguing.

texture.

Zac Posen : Resort 2012

Stella McCartney : Resort 2012

Derek Lam : Resort 2012

Natural texture and exaggerated texture popped up in resort collections. Looking to enhance your texture to give this trend a go? Try using Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Mellow (that you can air dry or blow dry) to tame and condition tresses.

short.

Rag & Bone : Resort 2012

Rag & Bone : Resort 2012

Lanvin : Resort 2012

Carolina Herrera : Resort 2012

Resort season short tresses have tons of styling options and can likely transform from edgy to playful to sweet. I’m loving the Rag & Bone model’s style, would you give it a try? Already have it but can’t seem to get that fab texture? Try Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Paste for firm yet pliable hold (that I’m in love with).

retro inspired.

Balenciaga : Resort 2012

Lanvin : Resort 2012

Ports 1961 : Resort 2012

Long flowing locks took inspiration from the 70s with the center parts and loose textures. Completely wearable but I’m personally going to avoid the slicked back version. Blow dry strands with Straight Sexy Hair Darn Straight (or Power Straight) to combat curls/frizz as well as condition and protect strands from heat styling.

up.

Marc by Marc Jacobs : Resort 2012

Carolina Herrera : Resort 2012

Vera Wang : Resort 2012

Zac Posen : Resort 2012

Top knots & ponytails reigned supreme in resort trends. I love both of the top knots and big bonus, these are easy to do at home and wear. These looks need a good all purpose hair spray, one that will be good to work with and finish with. I love Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Touchable for the job. A weightless, build-able spray with argon oil for sleek, shiny, stay-all-day styles.

Are you thinking about trying any of these styles? When temperatures warm up I’m sure I’ll be rocking a top knot a few times. Now I think I’ll be trying to work with my natural texture a bit and give my strands a rest from the heat tools. Think you want to try any of the products listed above?
